We currently maintain
a Registered Galloway Herd consisting of approximately 50 Black, Dun Red and
White Galloway Females. These animals have a solid color pattern not to be
confused with the Belted Galloway which has the white band around their
stomach. Galloway cattle are comparable to the Angus, Hereford, Charolais,
Shorthorn, etc. in frame size and overall capacity. They are excellent
mothers and produce adequate amounts of milk to raise nice strong calves
without much help from a creep feeder. We have carefully selected quality females from the herds of Big Deal Galloways, Delburne AB, Ferme Du Rapide, St. Hyacinthe Que. Four Winds Farm, Lebanon CT, Double JJ Galloways, New Castle PA, Hangin Z Galloways, Missoula MT and Brass Ring Galloways, Terry MT. Our herd sires - Dun Gal Heston came from Big Deal Galloways, Traprock Earthquake T708 came from Traprock Galloways of Luck, WI, and Diamond B Motivator from the Diamond B Herd in Livelong, Sask. - have made a huge impact on our Galloway Program. We are proud of what we have accomplished with our Galloway Program and look forward to years of continued success. |
